After four long weeks, the time has finally come: a new LTE router establishes the connection from the garden shack to home. This makes it possible for the first time to start and control the NUC remotely from home.
The whole thing is made possible by a Teltonika router that can execute commands via SMS. The magic packets wake the NUC from both deep sleep and hibernation. The connection to the desktop is then established manually via a remote control provider. For transmission to the endpoint at home, the speed of the Internet access was increased from a slow 2 MBit to a smooth 16 MBit connection.
I wish all hobby friends good DX and a successful start into 2024!

My station has been expanded with some important elements this summer.
The capacity of the solar system is now 3.5 times that of the previous installation. A total of 360 A is available. The effective use of the power storage is 180 A.
A new guest antenna - the ALA 1530S Imperium - previously used in my home QTH, serves as a direction finding antenna for the interferer in the medium wave band that has been sought in vain for years.
A mast of the DDA with a height of 10 m has now been aligned vertically and plumb for optical reasons.
The solarpanels moved to the roof.
A 12/220 V Inverter 3000/6000 W was placed in the workshop.

Timers are set up in the shack to control the flow of electricity. Both clocks control the on and off times of the K9AY controller and the S3. They are coordinated with the automatic switch-on times of the NUC and with the scheduler of the SDR console.
The S3 draws 12-15 watts from the batteries when switched on, 10-15 watts less than the NUC consumes. At the same time, the S3 "heats up" internally for frequency stabilisation and because of the connected GPS module like a mini oven. In permanently connected mode, it would consume almost as much energy as a second NUC. The second timer therefore relieves the batteries and creates more leeway in the winter months when the sun is weak.
Other units are connected to one of the timers via the distributor in the middle.
