A review of the wave propagation can be read in the logbook. How does it come about?

The value ✴/ corresponds to the impression of the listening experience that arises when I listen to and evaluate the recording for the first time. The purpose of the exercise is to better understand medium wave propagation and later to have a comprehensible assessment of the recording stored in the archive.

Should your personal assessment deviate from this: no problem. Already 300 km away from my location it could have looked completely different.

From West Bengal to Gujarat and up to Rajasthan, 14 stations of the All India Radio network could be heard.


After a long time, this day was once again a real DX experience. After looking at the logs in the mw list, I'm not expecting much new. All the better that I was able to confirm the musical and linguistic identity of all comparisons by parallel localization - you switch on a 2nd BFO and set the frequency to be compared. Even two states on one frequency could be separated, AIR West and AIR North. From neighboring Bangladesh, Betar could be heard from Dhaka on a heavily heterodyned frequency.

Taiwan Chü Yuyeh Kuangpo Tientai covered the most kilometers, 9356. The last place was taken by TWR Europe and CAMENA from Kyrgyzstan, 4954 km. First place goes to first heard a couple of days later. It's Shanxi RGD Nongcun Guangbo, Shuozhou. According to mw-list it's the second entry in the past years.
