After four long weeks, the time has finally come: a new LTE router establishes the connection from the garden shack to home. This makes it possible for the first time to start and control the NUC remotely from home.

The whole thing is made possible by a Teltonika router that can execute commands via SMS. The magic packets wake the NUC from both deep sleep and hibernation. The connection to the desktop is then established manually via a remote control provider. For transmission to the endpoint at home, the speed of the Internet access was increased from a slow 2 MBit to a smooth 16 MBit connection.

I wish all hobby friends good DX and a successful start into 2024!

A technically well-thought-out device with rotating ferrite antenna, LSB, USB and SYNCH. The travel radio can even be operated using an external antenna. Main purpose: detecting a source of interference on mediumwave that has bothered me for many years.

In the picture on the right an improved ferrite antenna from SV2CZF. This results in 10-25 dBm more signal compared to the supplied ferrite antenna.
